Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the website at compoundpage.com and its calculators, embeddable calculators, data files and search (together, the "Service"), provided by the operator of compoundpage.com ("we," "us" or "our"). It forms part of the Terms of Use.

2. Summary

The Service does not offer or require accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or other contact details. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics, advertising or tracking technologies, and loads no third-party scripts. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.

3. Information you enter into a calculator

Calculations are performed in your browser. The values you enter are not transmitted to us or stored by us. As you change a calculator's inputs, the values that differ from its defaults are added to the page address (URL) so that a result can be bookmarked or shared. That URL remains in your browser history and is included in any link you share. If you load, reload or share a URL that contains inputs, the URL, including those inputs, is transmitted to our hosting provider as part of the page request, as described in Section 4. Search on the Service also runs in your browser, and your search terms are not transmitted.

4. Information processed by our hosting provider

The Service is delivered by a third-party hosting and content delivery provider. When your browser requests a page or file, the provider processes the technical information inherent in delivering it, which may include your IP address, the requested URL (including any calculator inputs it contains), the referring URL, the date and time of the request, browser and device information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. The provider uses this information to deliver the Service, maintain its security and prevent abuse, and may also instruct your browser to report network connection errors to it. The provider processes and retains this information under its own terms and policies. We may receive aggregated statistics that do not identify you. We do not use this information to identify you, to build a profile of you, or in combination with other information.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The Service does not set cookies, does not write to your browser's local or session storage, and does not use pixels, fingerprinting or similar tracking technologies. The option to share a result uses your device's own share or clipboard function, and nothing is sent to us.

6. Advertising and analytics

The Service does not display advertising and does not use analytics or measurement services. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy before the change takes effect, identify the providers involved, and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before any cookies or similar technologies are used.

7. Embedded calculators

Other websites may embed calculators from the Service. An embedded calculator loads a script and a frame from compoundpage.com and performs calculations in your browser as described in Section 3, and our hosting provider processes request information as described in Section 4. The website that embeds a calculator is responsible for its own content and practices, which are governed by its own privacy policy.

8. Sale, sharing and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising or profiling, and we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We honor opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, by default, because no such sale, sharing or targeting takes place.

Do Not Track. The Service does not track users over time or across third-party websites, and we do not allow third parties to do so through the Service. The Service therefore operates the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age set by the law that applies to them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Service does not collect personal information from any user.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal information, or to object to or restrict its processing. We do not maintain personal information about users of the Service, so ordinarily there is none to provide, correct or delete. Requests concerning information processed by our hosting provider in delivering the Service may be directed to that provider. You can remove calculator inputs from your own device by clearing your browser history.

11. International processing

Our hosting provider operates a global network, so request information may be processed in countries other than the one in which you live, which may have different data protection laws.

12. Security

The Service is delivered only over encrypted connections (HTTPS): a request over an unencrypted connection is redirected, and browsers are instructed to use encrypted connections for later visits. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or processed by third parties.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy by posting the revised version with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
